Warrants

Having a warrant for your arrest can be an embarrassing thing, especially if you are with family or friends when police contact you about it, it may even result in your arrest when you’re least expecting it. Ignoring it won’t make it go away, and addressing it on your terms can help resolve the situation faster and with less hassle.

There is a natural fear or hesitation about missing a court date, or failing to do one of the things the court has ordered. Waiting to take care of it usually only makes it worse. Talking with a lawyer can give you a better idea of what the outcome is likely to be, and having one with you when you go to court can take a lot of the guess-work out of how to get the warrant recalled and how to remedy the problem.

If you, or someone you know, has a warrant, regardless of how minor, it will need to be addressed sooner or later. Most lawyers, myself included, offer a free consultation. It may be that it’s something simple enough to take care of on your own, or you may feel more comfortable having a sounding board with you, or perhaps even someone who can handle the whole thing. I’m happy to work with you to help get the matter resolved and get the issue behind you.

Your life is too short to worry about things like warrants. Give me a call if you want to set up some time to chat.
